Signups are now open for Masters of Endurance season 2014/15!
The rules are also on our website, so have a read and let us know what you think. We're also pleased to announce the first of our sponsors - Derek Speare Designs and iGP Manager - more information to come on that front.
Hello iRacers!
For those who are unaware, Masters of Endurance was the pinnacle of Live for Speed endurance racing, running for seven years until the final 24 hours of Aston Grand Prix in January 2012. The league featured names that may be familiar to iRacers - drivers such as Hugo Luis, Jesse Nieminen, Isaac Price, Martin Krönke, Teemu Iivonen and teams like My3id Gaming, ineX Racing, nFinity eSports, and CoRe Racing.
With the introduction of driver swaps almost upon us, it’s now time for Masters of Endurance to make a comeback and give iRacing drivers and teams the opportunity to test themselves against one of the most grueling schedules in sim racing. We’ve put together a schedule and some rules which are outlined below:
Cars:
GT3 - BMW Z4, McLaren MP4-12C, RuF RT 12R Track (and Ford GT3 if released in time)
Tracks and schedule:
8th November 2014 - Road America - 12 hours - 1200 UTC
6th December 2014 - Suzuka - 1000km - 1600 UTC
10th January 2015 - Spa-Francorchamps - 24 hours - 1600 UTC
31st January 2015 - Circuit of the Americas - 6 hours - 1600 UTC
21st February 2015 - Mount Panorama Bathurst - 6 hours - 1600 UTC
Minimum 1900 iRating and Class C licence required for all drivers.
Qualifying will take place on the Wednesday before each race, at 0800, 1600 and 0000 UTC (Thursday) and each session will last 6 hours.
Broadcasts and commentary
All races will be broadcast on YouTube and supplemented with live timing. Though we have a number of commentators already, we are always on the lookout for others - if you’d like to join our commentary team then please email admin@mastersofendurance.net.
